A trial of the PROphet blood test from Israel’s OncoHost (see here previously) has proven its accuracy and reliability in predicting the best treatment for metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients. OncoHost has received orders from 29 US cancer centers since its 2023 launch.
Detecting too much calcium in the arteries. Israel’s Beilinson Hospital has completed a study of coronary artery calcium (CAC) levels using the HealthCCSng system from Israel’s Nanox.AI (see here previously) to review routine CT-scans. High CAC patients were referred to clinics for in-depth evaluation and treatment.

From Kevin: The Ugly – There’s far too much ugly in the world right now. It’s not only the ongoing wars in Israel and Gaza and in Ukraine or, the trauma we are all experiencing up here in Maine. It’s everywhere. Ugly only gets worse when we don’t listen and care for one another…
From GRG discussion: we really need aging clocks if we are ever going to be able to test remedies in humans without waiting decades to evaluate the effects of each one.
And which clock you have faith in depends on what you think aging is. If you think that aging is a loss of information, then the Conboys’ entropy clock makes a lot of sense. If you think that aging is programmed through gene expression, than Horvath’s methylation clocks make sense.
And in general, we have to prioritize different directions for anti-aging medicine. If you think that the body suffers damage because of some physical necessity then you have to go in and repair each separate kind of damage. If you think the body knows how to repair the damage but biochemical signals are instructing the body to “stand down” and not repair, then you invest in approaches that modify the signaling environment.
Israel’s PhaseV develops causal machine learning (ML) technology that optimizes clinical trial design and analysis. Its goal is to prevent bio-techs wasting money on failed or badly designed trials of new treatments. It boosts clinical trial success rates while maximizing resource and time efficiency.
The research team found that when standard care was accompanied by personalized lifestyle coaching (focused on diet, exercise, brain training, and so on), patients had better cognitive outcomes than when they received standard care alone. These outcomes are also better than those typically seen in studies of Alzheimer’s drugs.
