SUMMARY – Caffeine appears hazardous to pregnancy; How inflammation (caused by stress and transfats…) cause cancer. To reduce stress and inflammation: soy, green tea extract, a healthy diet, happiness. To increase stress and inflammation: regular copper supplements, fat and sugar diet
I want to start with two articles I have read in other journals. Coffee increases miscarriage risk. In the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology on Jan 21,2008, it was reported that “Women who consumed 200 milligrams or more of caffeine per day had twice the miscarriage risk. ” That much caffeine comes from two 8 oz. cups of brewed coffee, or five 12 oz. Pepsis. Also, in Science pg 154, read how stress can cause cancer. A particular type of immune cell is responsible both for symptoms of inflammation and activation of cancer cells. Stress can activate those cells, causing long term low level inflammation and cancer. So look for exercise and relaxation for better health.
How soy relieves hypertension.
Too much or too little copper is harmful. Regular copper supplements can cause inflammation and stress.
Green tea may help prevent obesity. Green tea extract inhibits fat absorption from the intestine and into the liver, and thus may help prevent obesity.
Dietary pattern contributes to hypertension and obesity. The researchers found people at in one of “3 dietary patterns labeled a fruit, salad, cereals, and fish pattern; a high fat and sugar pattern; and a vegetables pattern.” The fat and sugar pattern is the one to avoid.
One easy way to avoid stress is to be happy. Have a great day.
