More who take DHEA
Paul: Blood DHEAS level is one of the tests that I take often as part of my LE Male Panel and I aim to keep it at 300-400 mcg/dL. Right now that appears to require about 35 mg supplemental DHEA per day. Interestingly, to get the same level, Kitty, female and 7 years younger, requires more than I do, about 43 mg daily. I do daily take boron and the new LE product Optimized Broccoli and Cruciferous Blend, which includes 100mg of DIM.
I agree that for some people in some health situations DHEA should not be taken. However, I have done a lot of research on it over a 30 year span, and have concluded that for me and other healthy aging people, using DHEA to maintain levels of about age 30 is beneficial for longevity. There are also many studies that have shown various amounts of evidence of this, the latest of which is the Fahy study on thymic regeneration.
