LONG NOTES:

Science 20 Sept pg 1279-Alzheimer’s [AZ] is likely to be a prion disease.  It can be induced genetically or by environmental exposure.  [To me, this means it is like AIDs, exposure to blood of someone with AZ could lead to you getting the disease eventually. Be cautious.]. pg 1313-Avoiding our close friends and family may be just as central to relationships as engaging and trusting them. When facing personal challenges, respondents were as likely to avoid strong ties as they were to speak with them. Avoidance wasn’t limited to certain topics, nor to a specific friend or family member. Most avoidance, which was similarly common across income, education, race and ethnicity, and gender groups, occurred passively, with participants not even considering discussing the personal issue.

Positive thoughts can heal the heart.  At least it can in heart-diseased mice.  Scientists at Israel’s Technion Institute induced positive emotion and motivation, resulting in an immune response that helped heal cardiac scarring, increased blood vessel formation, and improved cardiac performance.

More evidence that fatty15 is a geroprotector worth taking, and buying.

Greater resting heart rate variability is good for your health and is associated with orgasms through penile-vaginal intercourse, but not with orgasms from other sources.

Treatment of oral cancer cells using natural drug fisetin: An effective phytotherapy

From Kevin Fickenscher- Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) It was an analysis of the “nutrient density” of various foods or, in lay terms – the “healthiest” foods which were all vegetables in the top tier. And, the winner? Watercress which came in with a density score of 100 out of 100!! The runners-up included: Chinese cabbage (91.99 points), Swiss chard (89.27 points), Beetroot (87.08 points); and, Spinach (86.43 points)

The Bad – The degeneration of American politics into the gutter with name-calling, lying, and ignominious sharing of absolute untruths derived from social media rather than a sense of direction and guidance for the nation.

The Ugly – The hostile protests that have besieged Springfield. Ohio due to incorrect information and rhetoric related to the Haitian immigrants who now reside in the community.
