SUBJ: Selective Reality Perception
SUBtitle: Feed yourself gratitude and kindness
As I connect frequently with readers, I am repeatedly struck by how fortunate we are. You readers of this newsletter are making an effort to stay healthier and more educated about how to have a better life. In a nation and world where there is so much greed and hatred and cruelty, you are trying to take care of yourself, and reading these messages from me filled with hope for a better future.
As I sit in our air-conditioned home with a lovely yard and a well stocked wine and beer cellar and enough money to live securely, I spend most of my free time just being grateful. Do you realize how fortunate you are?
In college, my friends and I came up with an idea – SRP – selective reality perception. If there is something awful, use SRP to just forget it. Election stress – SRP and do not worry about it. If you cannot bring about world peace, don’t worry about it – just be a peaceful, caring individual yourself.
The glass is half empty, the glass is half full. So we can drink as much as we want, because the glass will always be half full, however much we drink. The glass is always half full.
Spread kindness. People are so hungry for it. Mean people are just in so much pain. Be kind and pity them.
Lots of love to all of you, Roc Nutrition Investigator
