LONG NOTES:
I asked my students going to Rush University, the top cartilage graduate program in the world, to find a cure for arthritis. Last night I heard that one is finally in clinical trials! NPR: There is a new method for an injection that stimulates the multiplication of cartilage-producing cells to restore joints and relieve arthritis. A mesh is in the injection that stabilizes cells which are induced to multiply and produce new cartilage, eliminating the damage that causes arthritis. It works in humans, and is now in trials to get FDA approval.
