From a doctor: Ozempic and other GLP 1 medications incur weight loss that can include muscle loss as well as fat loss in undesirable location, such as face. These drugs also have also caused numerous incidents of ER visits for gastroparesis related symptoms. While these drugs are great for diabetic treatment, they do have significant side effects for non-diabetics that are seeking weight loss!!

You’re never too old. Ezra Yachin at 95 years young is the oldest active IDF reservist. Despite losing an eye in 1948, he was called up to active duty in the current war.

Traumatized survivors of the Hamas Oct 7 terror attacks and IDF soldiers with PTSD are receiving hyperbaric oxygen therapy (see here) breathing pure oxygen in high pressure cabins. It is one of the treatments available to patients of the national clinic for PTSD.

Preventing severe lung diseases in diabetics. 35% of patients that died of Covid-19 were diabetics. This led scientists at Israel’s Weizmann Institute to discover that high blood sugar levels disrupted the immune system response to infection. They then developed experimental medication to reverse the sugar-induced dysfunction.

From Kevin: I’ve Been Trying to Tell You! Hypochondriacs — people who are certain they have some sort of disease even when doctors can find no evidence of any actual illness — may be on to something, according to a “large” study in Sweden. “We got lucky,” says Dr. David Mataix-Cols of the Karolinska Institute, who led the study. Sweden’s classification system for health statistics specifically notes patients with hypochondriasis, which allowed them to track the outcomes of 4,100 patients over 24 years, and sure enough they die about 5 years earlier on average than people with similar demographics without hypochondriasis. Thus, the study concludes, hypochondriacs should be treated — such as with relaxation therapy or anti-depressants — rather than dismissed with the notion that “it’s all in their head.” (RC/AP) …Where there’s a will, there’s a pill.

These fruits are high in fiber and low on the glycemic index , Snacking on other high-protein, high-fiber foods will help to hold you over until dinnertime. A can of tuna, an apple with a tablespoon of peanut or almond butter, a handful of nuts, a cup of plain air-popped popcorn, a half-cup of cottage cheese or a hard-boiled egg all make excellent options,
